Scenic El Dorado Inc is a Kansas nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the natural beauty of El Dorado — its trails, parks, prairie, and public spaces — so every neighbor and visitor has a scenic place to call home.

About Us
A nonprofit rooted in the place we live
Scenic El Dorado Inc was formed by residents of El Dorado, Kansas who believe that the beauty of a town is a shared resource worth looking after. Nestled along the Walnut River and near El Dorado Lake, our community sits at the edge of the Flint Hills, one of the last great expanses of native tallgrass prairie in North America. That setting is part of what makes El Dorado feel like home, and it's the reason this organization exists.
We bring neighbors, local businesses, and civic partners together around practical projects: cleaning up public spaces, planting and maintaining native landscaping, supporting trail and park upkeep, and encouraging the kind of everyday community pride that keeps a small Kansas town looking cared for. We are run largely by volunteers who simply want to leave El Dorado a little more scenic than they found it.
As a nonprofit organization, Scenic El Dorado Inc relies on donations, volunteer hours, and community partnerships to carry out its work. We are committed to being transparent about who we are and how to reach us, and to being good stewards of every gift we receive.
